It's only words....

My girlfriend's sister has just finished writing a book (which I'm about to start reading). She's been writing it for a couple of years and is now looking for a publisher, agent, or whatever it is you look for when you have just finished writing a book.
The saying goes that everyone has at least one good book in them. Really? Everyone? I'm quite certain I don't. I'm a big fan of reading, it's a rather useful skill to have. But writing. And writing a WHOLE book? How would one go about that? Seriously, I don't think I have even a short story in me. Nor a song, at best I might have a few lyrics in me.
I do have song titles in me, I often think of them when drunk, and listening to Maximo Park seems to help.
Recent titles that have popped into my mind are: You scare the hell out of me; The night I can't remember; Sex and seafood; More than sunday lunch time; I wish I missed my home town. I could tell you what these songs would be about, but not what the actual words would be, as I never get further that a title and a theme.
So well done Carolyn, I look forward to reading your book. Can I have a signed copy if/when you get it published?
